MELFA VA; and VIENNA, VA – July 19, 2019 – The 67th Wachapreague Volunteer Fireman’s Carnival (WVFC) concluded on July 6 and was a resounding success. The three-week carnival enjoyed above average attendance, according to carnival promoters, and drew people from the Eastern Shore and the surrounding area.
Eastern Shore of VA Internet Service Provider NeuBeam TM , a service of Declaration Networks Group, was proud to provide free Wi-Fi for carnival attendees and workers. Over the duration of the carnival, attendees downloaded an astounding 111 terabytes of data and NeuBeam’s network was utilized on over 2,000 devices.
WVFC promoter David Fluhart said, “Cellular service is poor around the carnival grounds. Thanks to NeuBeam, attendees were able to connect to the web and share stories and upload pictures of their experience at our event. Also, of much benefit to us, our staff was able to monitor the weather nightly and we were able to take appropriate action as severe thunderstorms moved towards our area.”
“For 65 years, the Wachapreague Volunteer Fireman’s Carnival was unable to offer connectivity to its attendees and the personnel working on behalf of the carnival. It’s great to know that for the second consecutive year, NeuBeam could facilitate high-quality, fast speed Internet to ensure a better experience for carnival-goers and volunteers” said Barry Toser, EVP of Sales & Marketing for NeuBeam. He continued “We look forward to serving WVFC again in the years to come.”
