Oakland, MD, and Vienna, VA, March 15, 2018 – Garrett County Community Action Committee (GCCAC), through a grant provided from the Rural Council, is teaming with Declaration Networks Group (DNG) to increase Internet adoption in Garrett County. The intent of this program is to enable lower income families and individuals with limited and or no access to broadband Internet to receive a service that will improve their quality of life and use of the Internet.
“Our partnership with GCCAC will provide affordable Internet to many additional residents of Garrett County,” said Barry Toser, DNG’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Chief Marketing Officer. “New customers in this program will be able to take advantage of our high-speed Internet with no data caps, and no initial start-up charges as we are waiving installation and equipment for GCCAC participants.”
Eligibility to participate will be at the determination of GCCAC. If an individual or family is currently enrolled to receive programs or services offered by GCCAC, then upon verification of enrollment, they will be approved. All other eligibilities will be determined on a case by case basis by GCCAC. The program will run through the end of 2018.
