VIENNA, VA – May 18, 2020 – Internet Service Provider NeuBeamTM, a service of Declaration Networks Group, in conjunction with Microsoft, has launched four WiFi hotspots in Oakland, MD; Grantsville, MD; Onancock, VA; and Colville, WA. The free service is in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the company’s backing of the FCC’s Keep Americans Connected Pledge.
NeuBeam’s hotspots offer those in the community a variety of uses including online education, applying for employment, email, video conferencing, online education, telework, and telehealth, all from the convenience of the user’s car or outdoor areas that are in close proximity to the hotspot.
NeuBeam is proud to support the local communities it does business in, especially at a time when community members may need it the most. “We are pleased to offer additional access to our network during the pandemic,” said Barry Toser, EVP of Sales and Marketing. “These public WiFi hotspots enable residents in each of our markets to receive high-speed Internet at convenient locations.”
NeuBeam participates in the Rural Airband Initiative, in partnership with Microsoft. The Airband Initiative has been bringing connectivity to underserved areas since 2017.
